Vermont Public Service Department Announces January 24, 2019 Meeting of the Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel.
Montpelier, VT – The Public Service Department today announced the next meeting of the Vermont Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel (VT NDCAP) has been scheduled for Thursday, January 24, 2019, from 6:00 PM to 8:45 PM in the Vernon Elementary School Cafeteria / Auditorium, 381 Governor Hunt Road, Vernon, VT.
The Panel will hear reports on the recent NRC and PUC rulings approving the sale of Vermont Yankee (VY) to NorthStar, as well as an update on recent Vermont Yankee (VY) decommissioning activities. State Agency oversight roles, public reporting requirements, and public engagement opportunities during VY’s decommissioning will be discussed. The Panel will also finalize its 2018 Annual Report to the Vermont Legislature.

In the event of poor weather / travel conditions on January 24th, the meeting will be postponed to January 31, 2019 (same meeting location and time). A notice will be published on the VT NDCAP webpage (http://publicservice.vermont. gov/electric/ndcap) no later than 3 PM on January 24th if the meeting has been postponed to January 31st. Meeting postponement announcements will also be made on Brattleboro radio stations WTSA (96.7 FM) and WKVT (92.7 FM & the brattfm.com Community Calendar), as necessary.
All meetings of the Vermont Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel are open to the public. The public can submit comments to the Panel by emailing PSD.NDCAP@vermont.gov (All emails sent to VT NDCAP become public record.)
Remote Access will be available for the meeting. Please email Tony Leshinskie, Vermont State Nuclear Engineer at firstname.lastname@example.org or through PSD.NDCAP@vermont.gov to request a remote access connection. Remote access requests should be made no later than 5:00 PM on January 23, 2019.
