Rescheduled Vermont Public Service Board (PSB) Hearing

Thursday, July 8
7:00 pm
Brattleboro Union High School, Fairgrounds Rd, Brattleboro, VT

Investigation into: (1) whether Entergy VY should be required to cease operations at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station, or take other ameliorative actions, pending completion of repairs to stop releases of radionuclides, radioactive materials, and, potentially, other non-radioactive materials into the environment; (2) whether good cause exists to modify or revoke the Certificate of Public Good issued to Entergy VY; and (3) whether any penalties should be imposed on Entergy VY for any identified violations of Vermont statutes or Board Orders related to the releases

In light of all the leaks and lies perpetrated by the Entergy Corporation over the last six months, not to mention everything before then, it is more than reasonable to ask the PSB to impose a penalty (since the NRC refuses to) on Entergy.

Here is but a sample of questions/statements relevant to this hearing:

Entergy didn't notify the state about cracked and leaking pipes in the cooling towers.
Entergy took how long to get the test results public on Strontium 90?
Entergy lied about the underground piping.
Entergy lied to the legislators and the PSB
Entergy has lied about what else?
Entergy has deferred how much maintenance?
Entergy is going to lie again.

Tell the PSB that there must be repercussions for Entergy’s leaks and lies.
