At the “Defend Democracy” rally in April, Governor Peter Shumlin roused the crowd with a lively list of all the broken promises made by Entergy since they bought Yankee. He told Entergy to go home to Louisiana, so we can create our green energy future. (Click here to listen to his speech).
The Vocal Chordz Affinity Group was so inspired by his speech that they set his list to music. “The 12 Lies of Entergy” made its debut on one of the biggest nights in Brattleboro, before throngs of Gallery Walk goers on the eve of the Strolling of the Heifers. Led by professional choir conductor (and activist) Bill McKim, with Court Dorsey on trombone & Randy Kehler on horn, twelve Safe & Greenies led the crowds in a sing-a-long, ending with a shout out to Shummy in thanks.
